Built with love and designed for togetherness, Villa Azhar is more than just where you stay—it’s your home away from home in Tamraght. Crafted from the ground up, every corner was intentionally designed to blend traditional Moroccan warmth with light-filled, comfortable living spaces. Whether you’re finding quiet moments on the terrace, sharing home-cooked Moroccan meals, or relaxing after a day in the waves, the house is built to help you unwind and feel instantly at ease.

The vision & the build
In 2017, we bought a piece of land in Tamraght and built Villa Azhar from the ground up.
We designed it intentionally as a place for people to come together—a space where surf, yoga, nourishing Moroccan food, and meaningful connection could seamlessly coexist. More than just a retreat venue, we wanted Villa Azhar to feel like a home from the very beginning.

Opening our doors
After months of planning, building, and bringing the space to life, we moved in and opened our doors to our first guests in March 2019.
What began as a vision on paper quickly became a place filled with warmth, laughter, and shared stories. It became a home for slow mornings and long conversations over dinner, for yoga under the Moroccan sky, and for the effortless friendships that form when people step away from everyday life to experience something special together.

What it has become today
Since opening, Villa Azhar has grown beyond what we ever imagined. Today, it has become a cherished sanctuary and host venue for international yoga teachers and retreat leaders from around the world who travel here to host their own transformative retreats.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed surfers, yogis, retreat groups, families, and solo travelers from every corner of the globe. Every person who walks through our doors becomes a part of the Azrac story. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has shared this journey with us so far—and if you’re new here, we’re so happy you’ve found us.

All our rooms are decorated in traditional Moroccan style, with hand carved Berber wooden doors and furniture and blessed with views of the ocean and mountains. We have a selection of double, twin and single occupancy rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and shower towels provided - and you're guaranteed a good night's sleep with our comfy beds and peaceful location.
