Join us this April for a surf yoga retreat hosted by the Azrac Surf team and our guest yoga teacher Amber Smith. With a mix of daily sunrise & sunset roof terrace yoga sessions, Thai yoga massage and other relaxing massages and therapies, plus lots of surfing and exploring this beautiful corner of Morocco!
The retreat takes place in the peaceful village of Tamraght - blessed with views of the mountains, the ocean, and a chilled out vibe - the perfect setting to unwind and reconnect.
The traditional Moroccan Riad has a selection of comfortable rooms (all with en-suite bathrooms) and a large, open roof-top terrace where you'll be led through your daily yoga practice.
Traditional Moroccan breakfast and evening meals are freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients, and served on the outdoor courtyard amongst the palm trees! Vegetarian meals are also available on request.
Whether an expert or a first-time surfer, our retreat is suitable for all levels. All our surf instructors are well-qualified and have experience teaching a range of abilities, from complete beginners!
We keep surf groups small (max 7 surfers per instructor), so that you get the best quality surf tuition, and all surf transport and equipment is provided.
Our surf courses are well-structured and designed to help you develop gradually during your stay, with lots of one-to-one instruction and feedback. Plus you'll get to surf a range of different surf spots, giving you the full Moroccan surf experience!
You'll start your retreat days with a soulful yoga practice on the traditional Moroccan Riad roof terrace whilst the sun rises. With a mix of pranayamic breathing to help balance your mind, body and soul and a surf inspired dynamic vinyasa flow yoga practice to build strength & flexibility, complementing your surfing and energising you for the day ahead.
After a full day of surfing and exploring, Amber will lead you into a relaxing Hatha yoga session to gently ease your muscles, whilst the Moroccan sun sets across the sky.
Suitable for all levels - from beginner to advanced - the morning sessions will focus on the core muscles used when surfing to revitalise ready for the day ahead, with evening sessions providing yoga nidra relaxation & meditation to ease you into a deeply revitalising night's rest.
As well as surfing some of the best waves in town, you'll also get the chance to explore some of the local area. The retreat includes a day trip to Paradise Valley - a beautiful spot in the Berber mountains, full of palm trees, hiking trails and natural rock pools.
PLUS various trips & activities to choose from in your spare time:
Hammam - Massage - Moroccan Cookery Lesson - Hiking - Jet Ski's - Quad Biking - Camel & Horse Riding - Taghazout Trip - Souk Shopping - Local Market
