As a part of your time spent with us at Azrac Surf, we’ll let you in on a local secret… Paradise Valley. A haven away from the choppy coast of Tamraght, Paradise Valley is a 40 minute drive up winding roads into the foothills of the Atlas mountains, offering visitors beautiful sceneries and tranquil, still pools of aqua blue water and cascading waterfalls. Known in Berber as Tagharat Ankrim, Paradise Valley runs the course of the Ankrim river and is now a nature reserve where visitors can camp freely. During your stay with us, we’ll take you on a day trip to the Valley where you can jump from natural ledges in to deep cooling water, sip on fresh Moroccan mint tea, chow down on tagine and enjoy the heat of the sunshine as we take you on short hikes between pools. After a full day chilling out at Paradise Valley we’ll then jump in the car with one last stop on the way home. Every day is a school day at Azrac Surf and we think as visitors to Morocco, you should learn a little bit about some Moroccan traditions and products such as Argan Oil. So we’ll take you to check out a local botanical gardens where a local women’s cooperative makes Argan Oils the traditional way. You’ll learn about the ingredients that go into making the oils as well as about both the traditional and contemporary methods of making it. A bit about Argan oilArgan oil is really good for your skin. Rich in vitamin E and naturally high in fatty acids, it has been used by Moroccans for centuries as a moisturiser for both the skin and hair as well as in food. In recent years, Argan oil’s popularity has EXPLODED worldwide with products and spas all over the globe now incorporating the oil into everyday treatments and ingredients lists. But a lot of these oils, unless they are excessively pricey, often come very processed and unlike the traditional, far more time-consuming method of producing the oil (hand-grinding kernels from an Argan tree), may not carry the natural qualities of oils produced traditionally. So during your visit, you’ll be able to buy products made the traditional way for half the price, that are naturally scented, in 100ml so you can take them home in your hand luggage. Hooray!
